The Spiral of Liberation
Özgürleşme Sarmalı
Somewhere in the darkness, a cloud of gas and dust has been turning for far longer than humanity has been giving names to the stars.
To a telescope, it is hydrogen, temperature, and time.
To me, as I gaze at the night sky, it is a door slowly opening.
Within a cocoon of pink and blue stand two figures, like petals still folded around a secret.
The very force that holds them there is also the force that gave them form.
Then the spiral begins to turn.
Slowly, as everything in the universe moves: nothing in haste, nothing entirely still.
The walls become ribbons.
The ribbons become wings, sweeping across the night.
And from the heart of the cloud, light pours through the opening: two newborn white suns, emerging into the vastness beyond.
I believe the only constant reality of the universe is its perpetual motion: birth, life, and death, or transformation.
A painter can capture only a single moment of that movement.
The moment I have chosen is the instant when the cocoon releases its hold, when what was once confined begins to drift freely, and the fragments of its former shape scatter among the stars.
Perhaps somewhere out there, someone is watching this very light.
Perhaps, for the span of a single breath, our eyes meet without either of us knowing.
Liberation is not an ending. It is a spiral that never ceases to turn.
Benim seçtiğim an; kozanın bıraktığı, tutulanın özgürce savrulmaya başladığı ve eski biçimin parçalarının yıldızlara dağıldığı o an.
